- Utensils: Utensils made with silver, copper or brass should be bought on the day of Dhanteras. Avoid purchasing iron or steel made utensils
- Broom: It is believed that buying broom or Jhadoo on the day of Dhanteras can remove all your financial problems
- Electronic Items: You can buy home appliances, phone, laptop, televisions etc. as per your requirements and affordability on Dhanteras day
- Laxmi-Ganesh ji Idols: Buy clay or metal made idols or laxmi ji and Ganesh ji on the day of Dhanteras. Place them in the area of worship and do the normal pooja. This would bring good luck to you
- Gomati Chakra: Gomati chakras are rarely found snails in Gomati river. They are believed to remove the effects of evil eyes. Store these chakras in a yellow cloth and place in your locker where you keep your money or jewellery. You can worship these chakras on the day of Deepawali
- Investment: If since long you are planning to do some investments like buying house, office space or opening a new bank account, do that on Dhanteras.
