Lock Feature of Facebook?
“Lock Feature” is a new feature of Facebook for its users. The moment it is activated, only those would be able to see your profile information who are in your friend list.
According to the Facebook, this feature is going to be implemented especially keeping in mind India. The main aim of this feature is to safeguard female’s security. Though this feature could be used by male users too but primarily designed for female users.
As per the product manager of the company, Roksana Irani, this feature would help female users to have more control over their information on the application. This “Lock Profile” is a kind of an upgrade version of Profile picture guard. Profile picture guard option was launched some three years back.

It is very easy to lock and unlock Facebook profile from your mobile app installed on your smart phone. It might be difficult to do the same on web based Facebook application as there is restrictions for different countries.
