CUET is Common University Entrance Test. This is the procedure by which students now get admission in universities participating under this system in India.
Almost all the major central and other universities now give admission based on CUET exams only.

What is CUET?
The Common University Entrance Test is a common test being organised by National Testing Agency based on which merit would be made and students would get admission.
Students who want to get admission in a particular participating university is free to fill the admission form of that university. Once the CUET releases the score and the university issues its merit list based on that the student would have to bring that admission form to the university on the day of the counselling along with some other documents.

What is National Testing Agency(NTA)?
National Testing Agency is a government approved agency that conducts entrance exams for various educational institution.
NTA was approved by Union Council of Ministers in November 2017. It’s main responsibility is to conduct common entrance exams for educational institutions.
CUET Counselling in Colleges
- Students appearing for CUET have to fill admission form of the university for which seeking admission
- Once the CUET exams are over, the universities/colleges which are participating in the CUET would get the scores of the students and would create a merit list based on that.
- The universities would release their cut-off list through online or offline mode.
- Candidate scoring above the cut-off list would be called for the counselling.
- The final admission would be provided based on the candidate’s performance in the CUET entrance exam. All universities have their own eligibility criteria for the admissions. But one common criteria is those who have appeared in the CUET 2022 entrance exams only they can apply for counselling and admission.
- Once the merit is ready, the students would be called for counselling and the admission. Students need to bring the online form they had filled before the CUET exams, along with some other documents like 12th class marksheet, date of birth certificate etc. during counselling.

Q. When is the last date of CUET-UG 2023 Registration?
Ans: The last date of CUET-UG 2023 application online has been extended from 12th March to 30th March 2023.
Q. Can I do correction in CUET Application form?
Ans: Yes, you can do correction in your application form on the dates mentioned by CUET. For example for CUET-UG 2023, you can do correction in your form from 1st to 3rd April 2023.
Q. If I get failed in 12th, would I get admission through CUET?
Ans: Students appearing for CUET would get a score. Colleges/universities would get that score online and make a merit list for admission. But if any students fails in any of the subject in 12th still can get a seat in the university if he clears the compartment exam and any seat is left in the college.

Ans: There are three sections in CUET Exam; Section I, Section II, Section III. Section I has two sub sections; Section IA, Section IB. Section I is language based, Section II is domain based, Section III is general test based. Section 1A has 13 languages while Section IB has 19/20 languages.

Q: Compartment Student Admission in College? compartment me fail hone ke baad kya kare?
Ans: If someone has compartment in a subject he can reappear in that exam. If any seat is left in any university of his choice by the time his compartment result is announced he still has the chance of admission through CUET.
But please make sure you study hard to give your compartment exam as there is already too much competition and if you still fail after compartment first attempt, chances of admission get very less.
Q: What is a good CUET in score?
Ans: Student should try to get between 600-650 to get admission in the university of choice.
Q: If I have 12th Private school exam in August, can I appear in CUET?
Ans: Private schools are normally which are not regular ones. So, if you are appearing in exams via private schools and that also in August then you should try to check with the university or institute where you want to take the CUET exam.
This is because they may have their on rules and regulations and can better tell you about any restrictions on taking the CUET exam if you have a private 12th exam scheduled in August.
