Pig kidney in human body?
Today also I was reading newspaper like everyday. My eyes and brain stopped at one one of the news. This news was related to the kidney transplant of a pig to a human patient.
This experiment was successfully and the kidney started responding well to the patient. In the past also there were chances to experiment the kidney transplant of a pig but pig has a certain type of sugar which did not respond well to human body.
This time doctors used a special modified gene pig. The main feature of this pig was that the doctors killed the sugar in this pig and made the genetic changes to improve the immunity.
This successful transplant was done in NYU Langone Health in New Year. With this successful transplantation human body parts scarcity can be fulfilled.
