This “Thaan Singh Pathshaal” school is famous for unique classes that it provides in a small temple in the premises of Red Fort.

What is so special about “Thaan Singh Pathshala” in Delhi?

This special pathashala is run by a Delhi constable “Thaan Singh”. He started it for the children of slum areas in Delhi. Currently around 50 students are taking education from this school.

Recently it is found that the parents of these students have started showing great interest in taking education for themselves also.

Main Motive of “Thaan Singh Pathshala”

The main objective of this special school is that the children residing in slum areas remain away from the crime and the crime world. It is often found that in the absence of education and also due to poverty these slum kids often chose the world of crime!

The parents have also started educating themselves atleast now they are able to make their own signature rather than using thumb impressions.

Kids of “Thaan Singh Pathshala” admit in Government school

The noble initiative is also supported by the DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi also. With his encouragement around 50 students of this school have got admission in a government school. They got admission in different classes ranging form 2nd to 7th.

The DCP said that he wants every student to become like Thaan Singh after getting educated to work for the welfare of society.

When was “Thaan Singh Pathshala” started?

Thaan Singh recently got promoted to the post of a Hawaldar from Sipahi. He is at present posted in the North Delhi Lalquila Police Post. In the year 2015, he planned to educate small kids of labour in a small temple which is in the back of the Red Fort in a parking area.

Soon, this school got famous as “Thaan Singh Pathshaala”.
