Munjed Al Muderis was earlier serving as an Iraqi doctor but escaped to Australia to save his life from Saddam Hussein’s torture and took shelter there as a refugee!!.
He is now practicing in Australia since then and serving patients especially those who are victims of wars or terror attacks. He even had added Titanium implants to Lisa Calon legs who lost both her legs in an ISIS Terrorist bomb attach in Turkey. The attack had killed 5 people and injured 100s of others.
Early Life of Munjed Al Muderis
Munjed Al Muderis was born in the Republic of IRAQ which is a western asian country. This country is bordered by other countries like Turkey, Iran, Kuwait.
He narrated his story of life to the world how he fled from Iraq. He told he was living very happily in Baghdad and was serving as a young doctor at the Baghdad University Hospital. In the year 1999 when he was just 27 years old an incident just changed his entire life.
He was a surgical resident and was on his rotational job in the hospital. There arrived three busloads of army deserters. The republic guards and political party members asked him and his senior to cut off the ears of the deserters. He refused the order and hid in a place for several hours until the soldiers left the place. He never went to his home post that order as was scared because he had offended the orders.
Munjed Al Muderis Coming to Australia
Munjed left for Australia where he was put into Curtin Detention Center. He was marked with the number 982 on his arm and was called with his number only as name for the rest of his stay in the center.
He did many odd jobs for his living some of them like toilet cleaning. He struggled to register himself as a medical practitioner. He got his first job as a doctor in Mildura Victoria. Today he is a renowned Orthopaedic surgeon.
Prince Harry Meeting Munjed Al Muderis
Harry met Dr. Muderis on his visit to Australia as he showed his interest to meet the doctor. Muderis had saved the life of his friend who had lost both of his legs while serving in Afghanistan. Dr. Muderis had done surgery to his legs. This is the reason why Prince Harry wished to meet him. It was a great honour and recognition for Dr. Munjed Al Muderis.

Dr. Al Muderis is married to Irina who is a GP and the couple have a daughter Sophia.
