Sakshi Tanwar is not a new name in the television industry. She has played many famous character roles of a dedicated wife, a perfect daughter-in-law and a dotting mother. Sakshi is equally active on big screen and has shown her presence in many movies also. She gained a lot of appreciation for her role opposite to Amir Khan in the movie Dangal as Daya Kaur.
Amir Khan had also praised the acting skills of Sakshi Tanwar in the movie by saying she is a one take actress. She prepares for her role in such a way that normally the director does not have to ask her for another take. This is really a very great compliment for any actress.
The glamour life was never so easy for Sakshi as she had to struggle a lot initially. Sakshi started her career with a monthly salary of Rs. 900/- and also had to go through a lot of struggle before finally having a taste of success and getting recognition.
Early life and Childhood of Sakshi Tanwar
Sakshi Tanwar was born on 12 January 1973 to Rajendra Singh Tanwar, a retired CBI officer in Alwar, Rajasthan. Sakshi was the youngest of three siblings. She shares how she was pampered by all at home as she was the youngest one.
Sakshi did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central School) and did graduation from Lady Shriram College, Delhi.
Sakshi Tanwar Career on Television
In college, Sakshi was the secretary and president of the dramatic society.
According to her, after graduating from Ladi Shriram College, she was preparing herself for administrative exams. This is when once her friend called her up for the audition of “Albela Sur Mela” in 1998, as one of the two anchors of the show could not turn up. She was asked to give the audition and got selected, and since then she did not look back.

She got a chance with Balaji Telefilms to play the lead role of Parvati in the serial, “Kahanni Ghar Ghar” ki. The show ran for 8 years, from 2000 to 2008.
