Third Wave of COVID- Rise in the cases again in European countries

WHO(World Health Organisation) has warned again that the world pandemic “COVID” has yet not gone and we are all in midst of this so be careful.

Since last year two years people have been suffering with COVID and lots of people have lost their struggle with this disease. Every year, we hope it would get away but again it bounces back with a new variant which is even stronger than its parent one.

Even though most of the people have gone immunized against this disease but still the risk of catching with it is high.

WHO said that the rise in the cases of COVID infected people is like “Tip of the Iceberg”. This means the pandemic is much more dreadful compared to what it is appearing to and is not going to go away very soon.

Spike in World Wide Cases

Europe and South-East Korea have become latest victim of Covid cases again. The cases of covid patients have increased here and the chances of this pandemic to spread again are quite highter.

Alone in Hong Kong the total cases are more than 10 lakhs and around 6k people have died so far because of it. Dead bodies are being kept in refrigerated shipping containers as they are not getting space to get buried.

In South Korea also the cases have risen to 90 lakhs. In other European countries like England, France, Italy also 30% increase in the cases was seen recently.

In India also the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic has appeared to grow again in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.

3 Reasons behind Rise of COVID cases in 2022

1. Misconception on “OMICRON”: Omicron is a variant of corona virus and people misguided it to be the weaker one than its earlier version. Also, masses started believing that this is going to be the last variant of Corona which is false. This variant has mostly impacted those who have yet not vaccinated themselves.
2. Subvariants are Stealth: Mutation found in the Protein spikes of Omicron’s sub variant-BA.2 are not easily detectable in tests. This is why BA.1 and BA.2 can combine together to form a new variant which could be more stronger and dreadful.
3. Ignorance by People: Post vaccination and due to the reduction in the daily cases of Covid infection government has removed almost every restriction and people have also avoided using masks and following basic hygiene practises like washing hands and keeping distance.

Protection from new Variant of Corona

1. We are in the fight with pandemic and its not going to disappear soon. Its our responsibility to fight with it by following basic protocols like using masks, washing hands and keeping distance from others.
2. This is true that most of the people have got vaccinated but there is still a larger section of society which is still not vaccinated and we should take care of them also.
