CAREER IN NAVY

He lost his father in the year 1953, and so had to leave his career in navy and came back to his home in Plains. Credit: Instagram

After the death of his father, Jim Carter came back to his home in Plains and started looking after his family’s peanut-growing business. His father had some debts so Carter had to pay off those and also there was a sharing of the business among his siblings also. During this time only he became more interested in politics also.
